Shipping Policies

Thanks for supporting FoLAR! Shipping costs are included for all membership gifts to be delivered domestically by USPS. 

As we are a small, local non-profit, all membership gifts are processed and shipped once per month, on or around the 15th of that month. Shipping times depend on your location (if you’re in LA close to our office, you’ll receive your items more quickly than if you live in Florida). The USPS website quotes, but does not guarantee, 2-8 business days for domestic delivery.

When your order has shipped, you will receive an email notification from us which will include a tracking number you can use to check its status. Please allow 48 hours for the tracking information to become available.

While it may take a few weeks to receive your membership gift items, you become a member as soon as you purchase a membership. Please refer to your membership level for more information on your additional benefits. Welcome to the FoLAR family!

FoLAR also collects potentially personally-identifying information like Internet Protocol (IP) addresses for logged in users and for users leaving comments on articles published. FoLAR only discloses logged in user and commenter IP addresses under the same circumstances that it uses and discloses personally-identifying information as described below, except that blog commenter IP addresses are visible and disclosed to the administrators of the blog where the comment was left.

Refunds, Returns & Exchanges Policies

Your membership is non-refundable and contributes to supporting FoLAR’s mission of an equitably accessible and ecologically sustainable LA River. For membership gifts, we cannot accommodate returns or exchanges, so please consider sizing carefully. 

In the event that your membership gifts arrive damaged in any way, please email us as soon as possible to with your order number and a photo of the item’s condition. We address these on a case-by-case basis, but will try our best to make sure you can enjoy your membership items.
